Deception

This blog was inspired from a conversation I had with a friend last week.

Let me tell y’all – the devil is always on his job. It seems he has a playbook of the things we like to try to deceive us, which is why it is important that we guard our hearts and minds daily. Like let me go to page 36 – hmmmm she may like this. And he is only going to present us with things that look enticing.

If you like apples, he’s not going to present you with oranges.

He will give you an apple that may appear healthy and shiny on the outside, but when you bite the inside it could be rotten. Or if you like a certain type of men or women he’s not going to present you with something else. He will present you with someone who appears to have it all together, until you examine them closely and sometimes it can be too late. This is why we have to be cautious and continuously pray without ceasing.

What is praying without ceasing?

I whisper silent prayers, daily. Like God protect my heart. God word my mouth. Don’t allow me to pop off on someone because I’m lacking patience.

The amazing thing is the more you practice praying, it becomes second nature.

And the great thing is God didn’t leave us here alone, he gave us the gift of the holy spirit. We have to be tuned in with the Holy Spirit asking him to help us and guide us. Ask him to reveal someone’s true intentions, he will do it.

“Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.”

I love the part about praying without ceasing… just constantly calling in God throughout your whole day. I surely need him to keep me from popping off also sis 😅
