The Compromise of Comfort

*This blog was a topic suggestion.

So I talked about the pressing in my last blog, but what if someone didn’t press in and they remained in their comfort zone.

What is a comfort zone?

A comfort zone is a familiar surrounding that is created which causes us to remain stagnant in our growth.

Dictionary.com didn’t make up that definition I did. 🥴😂😂

Personal story: I remember being in my comfort zone. It felt great because there was a sense of familiarity. There’s this fake safety net that surrounds us, when we create a bubble to keep us from growing. But for me, I eventually got tired of playing things safe and felt I was hindering my own growth. I stopped compromising myself and moved forward. Once I left my place of comfort, God was there with me every step of the way.

We all have to take inventory of our life and we can either:

A: Continue to live in a comfort zone and compromise your purpose or

B: Arise to the occasion and press into your purpose and be all that God has called you to be.

Remember, it’s never too late and God is with us every step of the way! I’m rooting for you!

Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Deuteronomy 31:6
